This week’s photo challenge theme is MERGE as hosted by The Daily Post at WordPress. I’ve been racking my brains since last night about possible photographs that stood out in my mind that would depict this fusion: a juxtaposition of several elements that would create something aesthetically pleasing. I chanced upon a few pictures that my husband has taken at the Singapore Zoo around two years back, and I thought that they could be quirky interpretations of Merge.
This photo shows the ‘merge’ of animal and water. Bengal tigers, such powerful creatures.
Tyger! Tyger! burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?- William Blake
I love this photo. It sees how the elephant ‘merged’ this sombrero, placing it on top of his trainer’s head. That unity of the senses has been captured here.
“I meant what I said, and I said what I meant. An elephant’s word is one hundred percent.”
Horton Hears a Who by Dr. Seuss

Both excellent shots! That second one is amazing!
Thanks! Glad you liked it.

Hahaha! Hi Frizz, that Bengal tiger photo did remind me of your ‘green soup’ – they must be kin!
