For those of you who are in London, do check out this exhibit by UK-based Filipino Artist Francis Tanseco which opens today until the 27th of July. Here are the details of the event as could be seen in the poster below.
Location: Philippine Embassy 6-8 Suffolk St. London in association with Lahing Kayumanggi Dance Company and the Philippine Embassy, London.
I am truly amazed at the sheer number of Filipino talents and artists in diaspora who are actively sharing our country of origin’s cultural heritage and Filipino-inspired artwork in their new home countries. Truly a gift. The paintings as could be seen in the poster above also look fabulous. Do check it out if you’re in the area. If you wish to know more about the artist, click here to be taken to his website.

Many thanks Myra. I am grateful indeed. It got to be said that this would have not been possible without the heroic effort of Ronnie Del Barrio of Lahing Kayumanggi and not to forget Henrik Bodilsen. Thanks also to my family Lahing Kayumanggi. I would like to convey in this blog my gratitude to the Philippine Embassy in London under the Ambassadorship of His Excellency ENRIQUE A. MANALO (Philippine Ambassador to the Court of St. James’s) for hosting us in their lovely venue. It got to be said too that my family and especially my sister Arlene Chatterton has given me unconditional love and support in the ten years I have been actively painting hence the title “10″. My gratitude I like to share to all for my mom’s loving support, I love you Mama (Rosalinda). The love and prayers of my fellow Concordia’s.
The success of this is priceless and this is due to the generous contribution of people in the media such as yourself and at this point I like to mention the names of Boy Villasanta, Nini Valera, Manila Bulletin, Walter Ang of Philippine Daily Inquirer, The Philippine Star, Bomba, Saksi, Art Tapalla, Dennis Adobas, William Reyes, Nestor De Guzman, Leo Paul Caliwara, Ronald Rafer, Oghie Ignacio, NOW or Noranians Worldwide and many many more.
This exhibit is dedicated to all the OFW’s. I am very proud to have been one of us. I am just a channel by the creator who is the one sending his loving message.
WOW! Great paintings. I wish I could see them in rea life
oops, I meant “real life”
More beautiful in the flesh indeed! It is a must see, comparable to the masters and the vibrancy of the colours reminds me of Edvard Munch’s current exhibition!
