Photo Challenge/ Photo Journal: X is for Xpectant, Xtract and Xistence

We are excited to join Frizztext’s A-Z Photo Challenge once more this week with as the featured letter. I know that we are ‘cheating’ a little bit since these words technically begin with E, but what to do? X is Xcruciatingly difficult. Thus, our theme is Xpectant, Xtract, and Xistence.

These photos are taken by our featured photographer, Joshua Formentera and are currently on exhibit in Berlin until the 15th of June 2012.

Xpectant

“After you find out all the things that can go wrong, your life becomes less about living and more about waiting.”
― Chuck Palahniuk, Choke

Xtract

“I will no longer mutilate and destroy myself in order to find a secret behind the ruins.”
― Hermann Hesse

Xistence

“It’s enough for me to be sure that you and I exist at this moment.”
― Gabriel García Márquez, One Hundred Years of Solitude

How about you? What’s your X photo for the week? I’d love to know. Leave a link in the Comments section and I’d be sure to drop by and visit.

  3. I like your bridge with “Xistence” to existentialism – I’ve read a lot about Sartre and Heidegger, Jaspers and Albert Camus. I even established a photogroup with such a topic at http://www.flickr.com/groups/existentialism/ – you have featured a very interesting photographer!
