This is my first set of Book Spine Poems, a fun poetry event hosted by Travis Jonker from 100 Scope Notes in celebration of National Poetry Month. The idea here is to create a poem using book spines. Also, do check out Jama Rattigan‘s summary of kidlitosphere events for National Poetry Month. For my initial attempt, I decided to come up with “warm-up” poems based on simple wordplay. (Technically, book spine poems are all about wordplay. Haha.)
Here is the second poem:

lovelovelove the three little pigs! can’t wait to see your other book spine poems.
you’d love my man/woman theme tomorrow.
Haha! I loved it too. I wished my picture book has a thicker spine, but it still worked out okay. I saw that when I was editing the post schedule for this! I think *book spine poem* is a keeper in our website.
The three little pigs made me giggle!
If WordPress has a “like” button, I would have liked this one! Even while I was drafting this, I couldn’t get over the three little pigs. Who would’ve thought, indeed? Haha!
