PictureBook Reading Challenge Update: 7 out of 72
This video post is actually a response to Elizabeth Anne Writes who also blogged about Lauren Child’s Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Book as part of the Picture Book Reading Challenge (click here to be taken to Elizabeth’s post).
This book happens to be one of my daughter’s favorites and one that we like reading again and again. While this video clip that I am sharing is something that we have done a year ago as part of our GatheringBooks launch way before in Spruz (before it decided to make its members pay), I thought it would be a nice video response to Elizabeth’s post. We also re-read the book last night and as per usual it made us laugh yet again.
This video clip shows my then-8-year old daughter (now nine) reading excerpts of BigBadBook aloud (I edited some parts so the book was not really read in its entirety). Enjoy!
This is delightful! I’ve so enjoyed seeing and hearing Ela reading the story. The different voices Ela gave to the different characters were just right.
Thanks so much for the shout-out for my blog!
You’re most welcome Elizabeth. I simply couldn’t resist reposting this after I have read your blog on Lauren Child’s Bigbadbook. I am aware that there is a website devoted to just children’s video read-aloud of books, but I couldn’t for the life of me remember it any longer. Will let you know (and the folks over at picturebook reading challenge) once I recall this bit of info. It’s always great to see kids enjoying their books. =)
